As the name suggests, this place was an absolute gem! We had an amazing stay—everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The property is beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully maintained.

A Wonderful Stay at Hout Bay Gem

We had an excellent experience at Hout Bay Gem. The facilities are top-notch, with stunning views and beautifully maintained outdoor areas. The garden is lush and peaceful, and the pool area offers plenty of comfortable seating for relaxation.

There’s ample indoor and outdoor seating, and we appreciated how clean everything was—from the spacious rooms with large, comfortable beds to the modern bathrooms featuring both a bath and a shower. Towels were provided in abundance, which was a nice touch.

The property is located in a safe, quiet, and scenic area, making it perfect for a peaceful getaway. The staff and host were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home.

Although the kitchen is shared, it’s fully equipped and spacious, with enough room for multiple guests to use it comfortably. The indoor and outdoor braai (barbecue) facilities were great for group meals, and the safe parking added peace of mind.

Ideal for large families or groups, this place truly offers value for money. We really enjoyed our stay—thank you to the host for a memorable experience!

We truly felt at home and Ivan was extremely helpful, so was the lady who works for you and Bella of course checked in now and then.
